A positive and nurturing environment is the most important ingredient in creating a quality school / daycare experience for young children. A teacher / provider must possess the needed skills, self- confidence and high self -esteem in his / her abilities, a good sense of humor, be resourceful in ideas, patient, understanding, and most importantly believe that each child is an individual and that he/she learns differently at his/her own pace.
Children need a rich, stimulating environment filled with love, warmth, and supportive adults to meet the needs of the individual child as well as the whole group.
It is most important to always use a positive tone of voice, encourage positive behaviors, proper role modeling, and be consistent and fair.
It is a good Teacher's responsibility to provide age-appropriate curriculum daily such as: Language/Reading/Writing, Science, Math, Arts/Crafts, Music/Movement, Cooking, Small Manipulatives, Multicultural Education, Dramatic Play, Large/Fine Motor Skills, and more.
Children need to be provided experiences that develop skills that have not yet been achieved and opportunities to explore, experiment and experience.
We aim to foster development in problem-solving skills, verbalization and awareness of one's own feelings and self-help skills. We encourage self-discovery and strengthen each child's unique individuality at a pace that is comfortable to him / her.
We are here to lend a hand, offer support, answer questions, create a challenging idea or statement, and implement a child's idea or suggestion!
