Encino Creative Kids Home Daycare is owned/operated by Deanne Rostami. I am a former preschool teacher and mother. I earned my Child Development Associate Degree from Santa Monica Jr. College in 1992. Since then, I have taught, mentored, helped to open, and assisted in directing in childcare centers for many years.
I have taken time off from my career to care for my three beautiful daughters; Leila-13. Lauren-9, and Madeline-5. They each have their own individual strengths, hobbies, and interests! I am also fortunate to be married to a supportive and loving husband, John. We were married in 1992 and we moved in our house in Encino in 1994. We feel blessed to be in such a safe and wonderfully diverse community.

K.C. and Dylan are our kitten's. They are very playful and friendly. Ginger is our sweet Maltipoo. She is 6, full of fun and lives for chasing the ball! Our newest addition is Maya, our smart & loving German Shepard puppy.

Studies show that children raised with pets have many benefits. Developing positive feelings about pets can contribute to a child's self-esteem and self confidence. Positive relationships with pets can aid in the development of trusting relationships with others. A good relationship with a pet can also help in developing non-verbal communication, compassion, and empathy.
Pets can serve different purposes for children: They can be safe recipients of secrets as children often talk to their pets, like they do their stuffed animals, they provide lessons about life; reproduction, birth, illness, accidents, death, and about these issues, they can help develop responsible behavior in children who care for them, they provide a connection to nature, and they teach respect for other living things.
Other physical and emotional needs fulfilled by pet ownership include: physical activity, comfort contact, love. loyalty, and affection, as well as experience with loss if a pet is lost or dies.
